Srinagar, Jan 16 (KNO): The Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Sopore Constituency, Irshad Rasool Kar on Thursday met with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and submitted a memorandum regarding the development of the Sopore Constituency and the welfare of its residents.
A statement issued to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), states that during the meeting, MLA Kar provided a detailed overview of the issues that town are facing besides, the developmental scenarios aimed at improving the lives of the people in his constituency.
Among the key issues highlighted were priorities related to education, health, and various concerns affecting the welfare of the community.
In addition, upgradation of Railway Station, Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), Amrit 2.0 tenders, manpower in JJM scheme and receiving station for Warpora.
Chief Minister Omar patiently listened to the MLA and assured him that Sopore would not lag behind in terms of development, it reads.
Meanwhile, MLA Kar expressed confidence that the day is not far off when Sopore will regain its lost glory through development and prosperity.
